Between the thirty-three
drawings of Guarino Guarini published in 1686, to three years from
his death, they are two devotes to the church of Somaschi Fathers to
Messina. Guarini had lived in Messina since 1660 at 1662, but very
probably it didn't plan the building during this brief permanence,
him in fact to that times it was primarily devoted to the teaching
of mathematics and philosophy near the school of his order the Teatini.

This
church for it complexity seems being, instead, a
work mature fruit of experiences and reflections
that will develop subsequently. Of this Church
few knows each other; the rare articles already
published are assembled particularly on
stylistic analysis, abdicating to a historical
deepening that would result, today, very
precious to understand some select progettualis
of the Guarini and, above all, to deepen his
biography. |
